Patient Navigation for Latino Breast Cancer Survivors

November 16, 2013

Do you work with Latinos diagnosed with breast cancer who need some
additional support?

Familias en Acción has received funding from Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Oregon & SW Washington to provide support for Latinos who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. These breast cancer survivors are able to connect with a Patient Navigator and utilize our services. We are able to provide a culturally specific Patient Navigator Program that reduces language and cultural barriers. Our areas of support include: sharing cancer information, family support, psychosocial support services, communication with health care providers, and connection to community support services.

If you would like to refer a breast cancer survivor to Familias en Acción, please call Betsy Velazquez: 503-939-8734.
